What are the best photography schools in India?

1. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Film, TV, and Animation Studies (BVBFTS)

The department offers 10 full-time and part-time diploma courses in film, television and radio. Its panel consists of expert in-house faculty members and many visiting industry professionals. The department has all the equipment required for practical training on camera handling, still photography, sound recording, non-linear editing, multi-camera online switching etc. It also contains over 500 titles of Indian and imported books on photography, mass communication, TV journalism, production, computers and general encyclopedias. About 30 different titles of the magazine are also available on DVD and VCD. BVBFTS has entered into an agreement with Doordarshan for four weeks of practical training for its students.

All UG and PG diploma programs offered by BVBFTS are for one year duration. These courses are mainly offered in three streams, namely Mass Communication, Animation and Performing / Visual Arts. 3. Delhi College of Photography

A unit of Dhawan Productions Pvt. Ltd. is located at Kingsway Camp, near the North Campus of Delhi College of Photography, Delhi University. The official website states, “The college has two spacious spacious, air-conditioned classrooms, waiting room, multimedia projector room, a fully equipped B&W darkroom, iMac stations, makeup room, fully equipped lighting studio backed by Alincrome, High-speed Wi-Fi, a well-equipped library and 1,200 square feet of gallery space for exhibitions ”. With wide options and resources, Delhi College of Photography ranks among the top photography colleges in India.

 4. Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad

The College of Fine Arts was established in 1940. However, Jawaharlal Nehru University of Technology (JNTU) was established in 1972 and later merged with the college and became a constituent college of JNT University. The official website states that "the College has achieved independent status as a Fine Arts College dedicated solely to the development of applied arts, painting, sculpture, photography and animation". It is further shared that, “Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University is divided and divided into four different universities, namely JNTU Anantapur, JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Kukatpally, Hyderabad and JNA and FA University according to Vidhan Pradesh, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
