What is photography?

Well, photography is the art, application, and practice of creating sustainable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, electronically using image sensors, or chemically using light-sensitive materials such as photographic film. It operates in its more direct uses for science, production, as well as art, film and video production, entertainment purposes, and so on.


In short, photography is the art of capturing a three-dimensional world in a two-dimensional frame, called photographs.


There are many types of photography, but here we have the top 10 most popular and trending types of photography ...


1) Landscape:

Landscape photography is a form of photography that involves the expansion of space, large terrain or world. These images are meant to characterize the vastness of nature (and sometimes the vast expanse of man-made features).



2) Fashion:

Fashion photography is a form of photography that features fashion and clothing, mostly professional female models. The entire industry is dedicated to fashion, including fashion magazines like Elle, Vogue or Vanity Fair.


3) Fine Art :

Fine art photography is a form of photography that has its roots in the photographer's artistic or subjective vision, as opposed to representative photography (such as photojournalism) which is responsible for unchanging reality.


4) Portraiture :

Portrait photography is a form of photography that captures the mood, personality, and expression of an individual or group of individuals. The focus is usually on the face, although sometimes zoomed out to half- or full-body, Known as portrait photography.

7) Macro :

Macro photography is a form of photography in which extremely close-up images of small objects are drawn. In doing so, the subjects may appear much larger than life-size.


8) Photojournalism :

Photojournalism is a form of photography that documents an event or story unfolding. The photographer must be faithful, honest, and impartial in telling the story.



9) Architectural :

Architectural photography is a form of photography that conveys the feeling of being around a built environment. It is about depicting aesthetically pleasing buildings and structures.


10) Black & White :

Black and white photography is a form of photography that features shades of black and white, that is, gray, with the charm of a colorful character of the genre.
