History Of Photography

The history of photography dates back to ancient times with the discovery of two important principles: the camera obscura image projection and the observation of visually altered objects by exposure to certain objects. here are no artifacts or characters that suggest any attempt to capture images with light sensitive material before the 18th century.

  • Around 1717, Johann Heinrich Schulz captured cut-out letters on a bottle of light-sensitive slurry, but he never considered making the results durable. Around 1800, Thomas Wedgewood was the first to reliably document, although the camera attempted to capture the image permanently failed. His experiments produced detailed photographs, but Wedgewood and his colleague Humphrey Davy found no way to confirm these images.

  • In the mid-1820s, Nicéphore Niépce first succeeded in correcting the image captured by the camera, but the camera required at least eight hours or even several days of exposure, and the initial results were very brutal. The Daguerreotype process, developed by Niépce colleague Louis Daguerre, is the first publicly declared and commercially viable photographic process. The Daguerreotype required only a few minutes of exposure to the camera and gave clear, fine-grained results. Details were brought to the world in 1839, a date generally accepted as the birth year of practical photography. From the paper-based calotype negative and salt print process invented by William Henry Fox Talbot to the metal-based daguriotype process soon had some competition, and news of the daguerreotype was published in 1839, shortly after the news reached the talbot. Subsequent innovations made photography easier and more versatile. The new content reduces camera exposure time from minutes to seconds and finally to a fraction of a second; New photographic media became more economical, sensitive, or convenient.

  • Since the 1850s, the Colloidian process, along with its glass-based photographic plates, has combined the high quality known from the daguerreotype with the multiple printing options known from the callotype, and has been in common use for decades. Roll Films popularized casual use by amateurs. In the middle of the 20th century, developments made it possible for amateurs to take photographs in natural as well as black and white colors.
The commercial introduction of computer-based electronic digital cameras in the year 1990s soon revolutionized photography. In the first decade of the 21st century, widespread appreciation of the practical benefits of new technologies and image quality of reasonably priced digital cameras. Since cameras have become a standard feature, especially on smartphones, taking pictures (and instant online publishing) has become a ubiquitous daily practice around the world.
